Programme Intended Learning Outcome

Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to:

  • Use the English language fluently, appropriately and creatively in professional and academic contexts at the level of competence required for articulation to further study, for employment, and to facilitate life-long learning;
  • Analyse and apply the main ideas, key concepts and arguments of complex texts in a range of genres;
  • Apply digital literacy in order to convey messages effectively to a variety of audiences;
  • Identify and critically explore theories and issues in communication and language use;
  • Relate major ideas in arts and humanities, science and technology, and society and organisations to the study of English for professional and academic communication.

Further Studies Pathways

Graduates of the AAEPC who wish to continue their studies have very good articulation opportunities into UGC funded degrees including at City University of Hong Kong, Baptist University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and The University of Hong Kong.

 

 

 

 

All AAEPC graduates also have pre-approved direct entry into the final year of the Bachelor in Communication and Media Studies, University of Wollongong, Australia.
